He explained: "Toby Aromolaran is one of my best friends, we grew up together and were in the same class at school."

Fans will remember that Toby came second place with ex-girlfriend Chloe Burrows in the 2021 series of the ITV2 dating show.

As well as a having a bestie already in the showbiz world, he also has a famous father.

He's the son of Micah Hyde, who played for Watford in the Premier League.

Micah is now head coach for Queens Park Rangers Under-18s.

Speaking about what he will bring to the villa, Tyrique said: "I’ll bring vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty.

"I don’t sit on the fence, if I have an opinion I will speak up. I’m also not afraid to go after what I want."

Tyrique is also deaf in his right ear and explained the meaningful tattoo he had next to his left ear.

He said: "I’m deaf in my right ear. I’ve got a tattoo next to my left one that symbolises strength and power in my good one."

Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITVX on Monday (June 5) where Maya Jama will be hosting the show and Ian Stirling will be back for the voiceover.

Maya appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday (May 29) to share a huge announcement about the latest series.

Fans will once again get the chance to vote for the first couples of the series when the show launches next week.

It's not the first time viewers have been able to vote for the opening couples, and their choices have been successful with Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri still going strong after being put together by the public.

But now, the use of social media whilst contestants are in the villa has been banned entirely.

The rules aim to "shield" contestants and their families from receiving abuse online.
