Lola makes an emotional decision over Lexi's grief ahead of death in EastEnders

Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) made an emotional decision over daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) after being influenced by mum Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) in EastEnders.

Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) had suggested the idea that Lexi see a grief counselor, and after some deliberation, Lola agreed.

However, that plan was thwarted by Emma, in tonight’s episode, who suggested she speak to her instead.

It all began when Emma popped round for a pamper session with Lexi, who wanted to have her nails painted instead of doing her homework.

When Emma argued that an extra half an hour wouldn’t hurt, Jay pointed out that she needed to have an easy evening ahead of her session with the grief counselor the following morning.

Confused Emma pointed out that Lexi wasn’t grieving, leading Jay to explain that she would be soon.

He was, of course, referring to the fact that Lola has been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour, meaning that she doesn’t have long left to live.

Emma seemed concerned by the idea that Lexi would be talking to a stranger, and tried her best to convince them that she would be better off talking to her grandmother, who she knows.

She argued that the three of them would make a great team when it came to helping Lexi cope.

Lola, who was already unsure about Jay’s plan, was taken in by her mum’s suggestion, leaving Jay irritated.

She made her case by explaining that Lexi had everything she needed right there.

However, it has been revealed that Lola will end up throwing Jay out in upcoming episodes after suspecting him of cheating on her.

With their family set to fracture, will they regret their decision to stop Lexi seeing a counselor?
