Line of Duty legend Adrian Dunbar was left gobsmacked as he met a real life incarnation of housekeeper Mrs Doyle from Father Ted.
The 64-year-actor has teamed up with pal Neil Morrissey for an episode of ITV’s DNA Journey – which airs Tuesday (March 21).
The duo, who have been friends for 42 years since they met in drama school, traveled to Ireland to uncover more information about their family histories.

In one scene in the programme, Adrian and Neil, who have also starred alongside each other in Line Of Duty, headed to a tea room in Dromantine.
There, the two good friends are greeted by a member of staff who resembles none other than Father Ted character Mrs Doyle herself.
It has been 25 years since Pauline McLynn originally portrayed the tea-obsessed housekeeper.
But it seems there is somebody else who could fill in for her if needed as Adrian and Neil were introduced to the real life Mrs Doyle.
“Can I offer you tea or coffee,” she said, before bringing a trolley packed to the brim with cakes and baked goods.
Much to the delight of the two TV stars, Adrian quipped: “That looks very good indeed, we are being treated today.”
He also jokingly called her Mrs Overall, referencing Victoria Wood's famous soap parody housekeeeper character.
The worker didn’t need any introduction to the two stars, as she confessed to being a fan of their iconic BBC show.
“Youse are very welcome to Dromantine. I do, in the line of duty, follow you both,” she said.
With a laugh, Adrian replied: “Well if you come across any bent coppers, do let us know.”
In the episode, which airs tonight, Adrian and Neil embark on a journey that reconnects them with lost family members.
And using DNA and genealogy, the pair unearth several long-held family secrets.
Elsewhere in the episode, Adrian received shocking DNA test results that revealed he had Norfolk ancestors.
The TV star also discovered that they made their money through illegal gambling, and also heard about the heartbreaking struggles his grandmother faced.
Alongside Adrian and Neil, Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville and comedian Johnny Vegas are also set to uncover their past on the new season of DNA Journey.
As well as Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse and her older sister Motsi Mabuse.
