Janine destroys Nancy's hopes and dreams in EastEnders to get rid of Linda

Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) sank to yet another new low in EastEnders, as she robbed Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) of her dream business, stealing her money in a bid to get rid of Linda (Kellie Bright).

The dastardly schemer, as viewers know, has become incredibly concerned about Linda’s presence in the Square, fearing that Mick (Danny Dyer) will be unable to resist giving his marriage another go.

She has therefore made it her mission to remove Linda from the equation, offering her £25,000 to leave Walford for good.

Linda was taken aback by Janine’s proposition, and in the wake of Mick rejecting her, she thought long and hard about her future, before ultimately agreeing to her love rival’s demands.

There was, however, a catch. In order to start a new life elsewhere, Linda insisted that Janine double her offer.

Janine was taken aback, having evidently underestimated Linda. After giving it some thought, she agreed, and thus set about getting her hands on an extra £25,000.

Nancy, meanwhile, was meeting with the estate agent to sign the lease on the new contract for the space in which she intended to launch her new restaurant.

Janine, however, spied an opportunity, and thus hired a fake estate agent, named Melissa, who ultimately met with Nancy and Zack.

Melissa claimed that other offers had been made on the property, and thus suggested that they transfer the two year deposit upfront. The duo did just that, unaware that they’ve now lost their money!

Janine was delighted with her old pal Melissa, and subsequently met with Linda, telling her she has the cash – but she will only get her hands on it if she leaves tomorrow.

Linda was stunned, but ultimately, she agreed.

Will Linda really depart the Square? What’s more, will she find out that Janine has ruined her daughter’s dreams? Will Mick, for that matter?
