In just a couple of weeks, Daniel Craig will bow out as James Bond in No Time To Die after 15 years in the role. While he’s already kicked off another franchise as Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out murder mysteries, the 53-year-old could be about to enter the MCU. Marvel insiders claim Craig is in talks with the studio about a future role in the universe.

This isn’t the first time Craig has dabbled in Marvel movies having previously been considered for Thor back in 2008.

While promoting his second Bond movie Quantum of Solace, the 007 star confirmed he had been approached to play the Avenger, but turned it down.

According to Screen Rant, at the time Craig thought it would be too much of a power trip playing both Bond and the God of Thunder.

Nevertheless, according to Giant Freakin Robot’s trusted and proven sources, the 53-year-old isn’t set on any specific MCU project just yet, but there is a Marvel character being talked about.

The outlet reported: “We’re hearing that the studio is open to different possibilities. “While we were unable to learn every option on the table, we did learn that they’re talking to him about the role of Wonder Man.

“This is a role that Marvel has been working on filling recently, so that makes sense from what we learned previously.”

Wonder Man aka Simon Williams was originally introduced in Marvel comics back in 1964.

He began his arc as a supervillain imbued with ionic energy and fought the Avengers a number of times before becoming a superhero in their team.

Aside from his ionic energy physiology, the muscular Wonder Man has some classic superhero powers.

These include flight, immortality, virtual invulnerability, superhuman strength, speed, agility and stamina.

Plus enhanced vision and hearing, healing powers, size and shape alterations and teleportation.

Apart from Wonder Man, the outlet pointed out that some fans would love to see Craig play the MCU’s Magneto.

The X-Men are set to be introduced into the MCU in due course after Disney bought Fox, who owned the rights to the Marvel mutants.

Although, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness coming up we wouldn’t be surprised if Michael Fassbender or Sir Ian McKellen’s incarnations showed up.

Whatever the case, Craig would no doubt have a few options being such a huge star.
