Jade Thirlwall reveals how Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne and Perrie are coping as mums – and Ed Sheeran’s advice

JADE Thirlwall has revealed how her Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards are coping as first-time mothers.

Leigh-Anne and fiancé Andre Gray welcomed twins five days before Perrie and partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain welcomed son Axel into the world in August.

In light of their new motherhood, Jade revealed how her bandmates are getting on and admitted they're desperately missing sleep.

Speaking on FM104's The Strawberry Alarm Clock on Monday, Jade said: "They have been saying that they just don't know sleep any more, they don't know sleep exists now – it's just gone."

The Touch hitmaker added that pal Ed Sheeran, who welcomed his first child Lyra with wife Cherry Seaborn last year, gave her the best advice on what to gift Leigh-Anne and Perrie after welcoming their little ones.

The BRIT award winner said: "I've only just decided what I'm going to get them because it took me so long to think of something.

"You know what it's like – everyone gets them their clothes and all the same stuff, I'm sure they've got everything they could possibly need.

"The last time I spoke to Ed Sheeran, it was after the Euros and we went for a drink afterwards," she continued.

"He was telling me that when he had his baby, everyone always forgets about the mum and that they might need something too.

"I was like, that's really good advice. I think I'm going to get the girls something like an in-house spa day so they get a treat."

The 28-year-old star led the excitement when her bandmates gave birth just days apart last month, and they are now enjoying maternity leave.

But despite being best friends with the girls after 10 years in Little Mix together, Jade recently revealed that she is yet to meet any of the new additions.

Speaking to Jimmy Hill on the Capital Evening Show, the singer explained: "I haven’t met the kids yet but I’m going to, I was giving them a bit of space because there's been a lot going on, bless them, so they needed a bit of time out.

"But we’ve been messaging each other every day and they’ve been sending pictures and all that stuff and it’s been really cute."

Jade was among the first to comment on both new mums' Instagram posts when they announced their little ones' arrivals, with the news snubbed both times by former bandmate Jesy Nelson – who quit the group in December.

Jade also posted a sweet tribute to her Instagram Story honouring her pals, gushing at the time: "My heart is honestly bursting for my sisters.

"Unbelievably proud of these women for handling their pregnancies like the Queens they truly are and bringing a little Little Mix into the world.

"Love you @leighannepinnock @perrieedwards, can't wait to be the cool Auntie Jade lol".

While Perrie and Alex shared a photo of their son's face and revealed his name soon after his birth, Leigh-Anne is yet to reveal the names and gender of her twins.
