Is Jamie Tate leaving Emmerdale and does he die?

Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) hasn’t made himself too popular in Emmerdale lately, after leaving Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) for dead in a hit and run, which he then tried to blame on his ex-lover Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

However it looks as though he might just be about to reap what he sowed in tonight’s episode – with his personal life taking a nosedive which sparks off a chain of events which could have fatal consequences.

It’s certainly not looking good for Kim Tate’s offspring – but could the events of tonight’s episode result in Jamie losing his life?

Here’s what we know…

Is Jamie Tate leaving Emmerdale and does he die?

There’s been no suggestion that the character is leaving the soap or that he could be about to die – meaning that we’re in for a bit of a cliffhanger to see what happens next.

Wednesday’s instalment of the soap will see Jamie hitting the bottle in a big way now that Andrea (Anna Nightingale) has taken Millie away – and he’s been lying to mum Kim (Claire King) about losing control of his situation.

With his marriage broken and his daughter gone, he drinks more and more booze – and ends up taking a tumble and hitting his head.

We’ll have to keep watching to see if he survives the accident, but it certainly adds a dramatic twist to proceedings after Belle double-crossed him the other week and told the police about his involvement in Moira’s accident – leading to Jamie being arrested.

While his fate may hang in the balance Eden Taylor-Draper hinted at more drama to come following that incident, saying: ‘I think Belle would be stupid to think he’d go down easily.

‘He will have something up his sleeve but maybe something she doesn’t expect.’

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
