Inside Love Island’s Kady McDermott’s £1,600-a-night holiday to Mauritius

FORMER Love Island star Kady McDermott decided to escape the UK's cold months by jetting off to Mauritius for a touch of winter sun.

The reality TV star, 27, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2016, shared aspects of her enviable holiday, namely her £1,600 a night private villa, with her fans.

Kady is staying at The Oberoi Beach Resort's luxury villa that comes complete with a private courtyard garden, a heated swimming pool and sea views.

During Kady's time on Love Island she became embroiled in a fight with her fellow contestant Malia Arkian who pushedKady, as she thought she had spilled wine on her.

The exchange became so heated, Malia, who had only been at the villa for three hours, was escorted from the villa by security and was banned from returning to the show.

Speaking about her time on the ITV2, Malia said: "I gave Kady a hug and she was murmuring things under her breath about me, I knew she was going to start on me."

She added: "She was tipsy so when she sat next to me – when I knew she didn’t like me – I saw the glass of wine in her hand and knew she was going to pour it over me."

She then continued: "I pushed her. I could never punch anyone. As soon as it happened security came and took me away. I didn't have time to go to the toilet or take my clothes of out my suitcase, I got kicked out within probably an hour of the show."

Although Kady wasn't as lucky as other Love Island contestants including Molly Mae Hague when it came to finding love, she did however date former Towie star Myles Barnett.

During their time together the pair split multiple times. But finally, in 2021 Kady confirmed their split.
