Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has tested positive for Covid-19.
The actress, who portrayed Sinead O’Connor on the Channel 4 soap, called an ambulance when she wasn’t feeling well, telling her followers that she ‘was in so much pain’, after she ‘woke up and couldn’t move.’
‘So last night I had a bit of a headache before bed, and my sinuses. I woke up so ill. I had to call an ambulance basically, and I’ve tested positive for Covid-19,’ she said on Instagram Stories.
‘I feel like I’ve been run over. And the worst part is my skin, its killing me. I’m just in so much pain, oh my god, this is horrible.
‘And it happened so quick, I don’t even know… I basically woke up and couldn’t move.
‘I’ve never had sore skin before. Normally, I suffer with my chest. I feel rotten.
Stephanie, 28, later had her breathing device removed and got some rest.
‘They’ve started me on some more fluids and some painkillers and intravenous for the pain… Honestly, my god. I feel like I’ve been ran over,’ she added.
‘Did anyone else [with Covid-19] have sore skin?
‘I feel like I can’t touch my skin, and my back. My chest feels a bit better after having some nebulisers, but my god!’
Stephanie left Hollyoaks last year, admitting it was ‘not what she wanted but what she knew was right’.
Sharing a statement alongside an image that read ‘goals: be happy’, Stephanie penned: ‘Sometimes we make decisions based not on what we want but what we know is right!
‘I have loved bringing Sinead into your homes for the past ten years but it’s with a heavy heart I have decided to leave Hollyoaks and now looking forward to working on new and exciting projects. Excited!’
A Hollyoaks spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘In mutual agreement with Lime Pictures, Stephanie Davis is leaving her role as Sinead O’Connor on Hollyoaks.
‘We would like to thank Stephanie for her huge contribution to the show and the enjoyment her character Sinead has brought to fans.’
