Gogglebox's Paige in furious rant about crew 'using her electricity and loo roll' before she quit show

GOOGLEBOX'S Paige Deville hit out at the show's crew before quitting the show – saying they used up her toilet paper.

The 25-year-old star also insisted she was "not paid a celebrity wage" saying she and mum Sally got £100 for a nine-hour filming session.

Paige quit the show in dramatic fashion earlier this month after two years on the Channel 4 show, where ordinary people remark on the week's TV.

But speaking before her departure, she told her local paper the Birmingham Mail how having people in her house began to "grate".

She said: "The whole filming was very invasive.

"We weren't getting paid much but Gogglebox staff would be using your electric, your soap, your toilet paper. It started to grate on me."

Paige added: "Filming is tough. You would stop to go to the toilet but other than that you wouldn't have a break. You would eat while filming."

The star quit the show in September claiming there was "zero aftercare support" in a scathing post on Twitter.

She wrote: “I have made the decision to walk away from Gogglebox.

"It’s been an experience but one I cannot continue with due to long hours of filming, restrictiveness, control of our actions and opinions & zero aftercare support but hey who cares about ex cast, [they’re] NTA winners.”

A Gogglebox spokesperson said: "The welfare of contributors – past and present – is of paramount importance and robust protocols are in place to support contributors before, during and after taking part in the series.”

And she also rounded on her mum in another post this week before saying she would be taking a break from social media.

She wrote: "To clarify, people thinking I fell out with my mom over gogglebox, My ‘mom’ is an absolute disgrace who I wish to never speak to again due to a serious family issue NOT about a TV show.”

The star also addressed recent comments made by Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder after he branded her a “snowflake” and questioned why she needed support.

Paige added: “In regards to Shaun, that’s exactly what I meant by support to deal with trolls like you."

She and Sally shot to fame in 2019 when on the 14th series of the show before quitting after four series.
