Good Morning Britain turned frosty as presenter Adil Ray took a brutal swipe at weather reporter Alex Beresford today.
Tensions rose between the pair as Adil swiped: "I don’t think you should ever come into the main chair, you kind of forget the job you’re supposed to be doing.
"You’re very good at that.
"I think it just messed up your equilibrium last week."
Fans know that Alex stepped in to replace usual presenter Piers Morgan for a few days last week, making it his first time to be behind the main desk as lead presenter.
An offended Alex replied: "Wow. I'll just go home shall I?" as he got up to walk off set before sitting back down again.
Charlotte tried to move things on as she said: "[You’re] letting out all the secrets of how we do all these things!" as she admitted Alex pre-recorded some of his segments.
But Alex soon hit back at Adil, as he swiped: "t’s a bit like when the producers feed Adil the questions live in his ear," leaving him looked very red-faced.
Charlotte once again intervened as she asked: "Shall we get on with the main news this morning?" as she dubbed the showdown "presenter wars".
Adil replied: "Going really well this. We’re all getting on really well."
Meanwhile, he also announced that it was his last day presenting on GMB for the summer.
The show is preparing for the return of usual hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, who took some time off for the holidays.
Piers has been leaving his fans green-faced after heading to his home in St Tropez, France for a weeks to top up his tan.
Not only that, he also managed to dodge the quarantine rules with hours to spare after it was announced that France was going back on the quarantine list.
We're sure fans will be happy to see him back…
