Emmerdale spoilers reveal how a storm devastates the residents of the village

As a huge storm hits the village the residents of Emmerdale find themselves in serious danger and some lives will change forever.

As the storm brews on the day of Will (Dean Andrews) and Kim’s wedding, Kim (Claire King) takes her horse out for a ride and Will informs Billy (Jay Kontzle) there may now not be a wedding as he and Kim need to have it out. When she arrives home their argument commences with Will insistent that he doesn’t want to be with Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton). He leaves the ball in Kim's court still unsure whether or not she will show up.

Meanwhile, at the Church, the wedding guests get settled ahead of Kim’s arrival. When she shows up on horseback everyone is suitably impressed. After the ceremony, on leaving the church, the wedding party are shocked by the intensity of the wind. But the party is going ahead regardless and back at Home Farm the wedding celebrations begin. But will the storm put paid to them?

With the force of the wind Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is blown about and with her contractions having started she desperately calls her dad for help. Dan (Liam Fox) panics when he gets the call and his worry increases when Amelia's phone dies before she can tell him exactly where she is.

Hiding out in a barn and with her contractions continuing, petrified Amelia prays for her and her baby’s safety and desperately hopes someone will find her. As her panic grows Kim mounts her horse and rides out to the rescue in search of her, while Harriet heads out to search on a quad bike. But will they find her on time?

Still reeling from Faith's loss and wracked with guilt Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is angry at Al (Michael Wildman) , blaming him for not being there for her over her mum. Realising it’s over Al tells her that if he can’t have her, he’s leaving town today. But is that truly the end of it?

Although they are still feuding Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) begrudgingly accepts Charles’ (Kevin Mathurin) offer of a lift. They stumble upon the abandoned minibus and worry as to where its wedding party passengers have gone. The wedding guests battle the storm as they unsuccessfully search for Home Farm, desperate to get out of the extreme conditions.

Against Charles advice Nicola heads off into the storm to find Jimmy (Nick Miles) and he is left with no choice but to follow her. When a tree crashes to the ground he pushes Nicola to safety but her hostility remains and he’s concerned when she starts to have a panic attack. Will she be OK?

As the storm continues to rage will all the residents manage to make it through.
