Emmerdale fans terrified for Leyla as Callum kidnap plot goes wrong

Emmerdale fans have been left convinced that Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) could be killed off, after she is kidnapped by drug-dealer Callum (Tom Ashley).

Having been involved in a plot to destroy Callum's reputation and land him in jail, recovering addict Leyla found her life hanging in the balance when Callum was ultimately let go by police.

He then demanded that she pay him back by transporting a drugs haul for him, but when this didn't go to plan, Leyla soon found herself in even further danger.

As Callum lays plans to flee the Dales, he has already made it clear that he has no intention of letting Leyla go free, even after she promised to not report him to the police.

Viewers at home have taken to social media to share their theories about what will come next, with many suggesting that Leyla could be in grave danger.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Leyla screaming. Give up, love. There’s nobody about except your local friendly kidnapper #Emmerdale"

"Leyla shot last year, kidnapped this year. Not the luckiest #Emmerdale" joked another.

A third simply said: "Poor leyla #emmerdale."

Others shared their hopes that Leyla is indeed killed off, with one writing: "Dear Callum. Please don’t mess up this chance to finish Leyla off. I’m counting on you. #Emmerdale."

And another added: "I'm all for Leyla being killed of, not a fan in the slightest #Emmerdale."

Elsewhere in the Dales, fans have become suspicious of Caleb Milligan's motives, as he continues to become involved in a number of different storylines – including Leyla and Callum's.

Tuesday's episode saw Caleb giving Leyla some advice on the Callum situation, prior to him kidnapping her.

This is not the first time Caleb has insisted on giving people around him advice, making the villagers and the viewers grow increasingly suspicious of his desire and enthusiasm of wanting to "help" them.

This has led fans to suspect he could have a more sinister motive for wanting to get to know his neighbours.

They took to Twitter to discuss their thoughts of the character, with one person writing: "Bruh what is up with Caleb talking people into doing stupid things #emmerdale."

Why am I getting suspicious of Caleb’s motives talking to Leyla? He was a bit quick on the scene, there #Emmerdale" argued a second, while another penned: "Will they have us believe Caleb is the caped crusader or spiderman, the dales own superhero #Emmerdale"

One person even believed the storyline could take a supernatural twist as they said: "I think Caleb's a ghost that's haunting everyone #Emmerdale."
