Emmerdale fans spot major blunder as Wendy and Liams affair finally exposed

Emmerdale fans were shocked at how careless Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson) and Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) were as their steamy affair was finally revealed.

The two village residents struck up a forbidden romance a few months back after forming an erotic fiction writing partnership.

After months of sneaking around and a number of secret hook-ups, things took a turn earlier this week when Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) nearly caught them in bed together.

Hearing Bernice in the B&B, the doctor quickly hid under the bed while Wendy pretended to be asleep.

Later, while cleaning the room, Bernice discovered a love letter to Wendy and realised it was from Liam after matching it to the writing in a birthday card from him.

Despite Bernice's suspicions, a panicked Wendy managed to convince her that the letter was harmless and part of their fiction writing.

After believing their affair was still under wraps, Liam told Wendy he didn't want to "lose what they've got" before the lovers shared a passionate kiss.

Unbeknownst to them, they had been followed by Bernice and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) who spotted them locking lips in the window.

The moment left fans stunned as they couldn't believe Liam and Wendy could be so careless and kiss in front of an open window.

Questioning the scene on social media, one fan wrote: "Typical. Stand in front of a window snogging when you’re have a secret affair so the two local gossips see you……pfft…."

Another fumed: "Kissing in front of the window, not a great idea if you’re trying to keep it secret, so stupid…"

"That's right, sit right in front of the window, Liam & Wendy, hiding your discrete affair," echoed a third.

Someone else questioned: "If they are trying to hide why are they in the window??"

While a fourth chimed: "If you dont want to be seen stand in the window. No one will see you there."
