Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was left with a difficult decision in EastEnders recently, when she was asked to do a private video call for a client.
The mum of three caused chaos among her family when it was revealed that she had started doing online cam work in order to earn enough money to put food on the table.
Daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) was horrified when lads at school banded together to buy a subscription for her mum’s profile, and promptly told Stacey that she wanted to drop out and get a job of her own so that Stacey could delete her profile without repercussions.
This led Stacey to consider an offer from one of her buyers, who wanted to pay for private live stream videos with her outside of the site.
Though the identity of the buyer has remained hidden, fans of the show believe that they may have worked out who it is, taking to Twitter to explain their theories.

They are convinced that the anonymous subscriber is none other than Freddie’s (Bobby Brazier) teacher, Mr Hawthorne.
Could freddie’s teacher mr hawthorne be the one asking stacey for her private videos on her only fans? He’s moving and it’ll probably be walford or close to walford, and he might start using freddie to get closer to stacey?? #EastEnders
That Mr Hawthorne is giving me bad vibes. He’s got to be Stacey’s new anon sub making the live stream request. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that Dr he brought to meet Freddie was a dodgy £ scam too.
So, how are my trust issues these days… #EastEnders
So are we all agreeing that mr hawthorne isnât just here to help freddie get an adhd diagnosis? Also, Staceyâs only fans story is definitely going to turn dark isnât itâ¦.#EastEnders
Mr Hawthorne first appeared on our screens when Freddie headed back to his high school to confront him about his bullying towards him at school.
Later, Mr Hawthorne tracked Freddie down and apologised, suggesting that he may have ADHD.
Since then, he has appeared several more times, taking part in the pub quiz at the Queen Vic and arranging a meeting with an ADHD specialist for his former pupil.
However, some viewers are suspicious of his good deeds, wondering if he may be using Freddie to get to Stacey.
With Stacey set to be involved in the murder on Christmas day, fans are wondering if this storyline will turn dark and lead to her secret buyer lying dead on the floor of the Queen Vic before the end of the year.
Are we right to be suspicious of Mr Hawthorne? We’ll have to wait and see…
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
