Dancing on Ice 2022 pairings as Love Islands Liberty Poole teams up with Joe Johnson

The nation’s favourite skating show will return to our screens in January 2022 and, while theDancing On Iceline-up has been revealed now the new season’s pairings have been too.

The likes of S Club 7’s Rachel Stevens and Love Island star Liberty Poole are taking to the ice, along with rugby player Ben Foden and ex-Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole.

Also inthe line-upis Kye Whyte, Kimberly Wyatt, Connor Ball, Ria Hebden, Regan Gascoigne, Stefanie Reid, Mark ‘Bez’ Berry, and Coronation Street ’s Sally Dynevor.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will, of course, be back to host as well.

Liberty Poole and Joe Johnson

Liberty revealed the news of her and Joe's partnership on Thursday 4 November.

Similar to her fellow contestants, the Love Island star, who had a nasty fall while training, took to Instagram to share the exciting news.

Sharing a pair of photos of her and Joe together, Liberty penned: "So my partner will be @joejohnsonice on dancing on ice !!! So happy to start our journey together just know we are going to have so much fun already ! So lucky to be partnered with someone so talented. Also full of energy like myself!"

"When America met Birmingham," she joked.

Rachel Stevens and Brendyn Hatfield

S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens is paired up with Brendyn Hatfield, who joined DOI two seasons ago.

Rachel announced the news of their partnership on Wednesday 3 November and shared a video on Instagram of Brendyn showing off his impressive skating skills.

Rachel wrote in a separate clip: “This is Brendyn everyone, we’ve just met for the first time and this is the start of our partnership.”

Brendyn enthusiastically added: “Ready to go. We are gonna have a good time, I've got a great partner. I'm excited.”

The professional skater also announced the news on his own page.

Sharing a selfie on him with Rachel, he wrote: “Finally able to announce my partner for this season of Dancing On Ice! The one, the only, @msrachelstevens!

“We had a quick little skate today for our first meeting and I am beyond thrilled with her skating ability and her excitement to learn even more. I literally can’t wait to start creating our future routines together!,” he continued.

Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer

Brendan and Vanessa wereannounced as the first pairingto be skating together in the 2022 series.

Sharing a picture of them together on Instagram, Vanessa wrote: “Meet my new @dancingonice partner @brendancoleinsta !! We’re both incredibly excited about this new partnership and can’t wait to go above and beyond to hopefully deliver some magic on the ice of you!"

Signing off the caption, she added: "Let’s do this partner!!! #DancingOnIce2022."

Brendan reshared the photos along with the caption: “We’re both incredibly excited about this new partnership and can’t wait to go above and beyond to hopefully deliver some magic on the ice of you!”

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in January.
