It looks like Coronation Street viewers will soon see Gary Windass (Mikey North) pay the price for killing Rick Neelan last year after hiding his body in the woods.
Gary has been causing trouble for a number of characters and has also been toying with the idea of selling up the factory to dodgy dealer Ray Crosby (Mark Frost).
But in upcoming scenes airing in the week of December 14, Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) looks set to get back at him in the ultimate way.
Gary had been considering selling the factory to Ray, but after seeing his sister Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) fleeing Ray's office in tears with her blouse ripped, he reconsiders.
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) tries to persuade Gary to go through with the sale but Gary refuses.
He says Ray is a sex pest, which leaves Debbie frustrated.
Later on in the week though, annoyed that Gary was potentially going to risk the future of the factory and its workers, she gets on the phone.
She calls Crimestoppers and tells them that she knows that there is a corpse buried and where it is.
And before long, while Gary is busy working in the furniture shop, he overhears some startling news on the radio.
He hears that the police are searching for a body in Beacon Woods.
Elsewhere, after being encouraged by Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) heads to the police station and tells them about the watch that was found out there.
She tells them how Gary had been desperate to get his hands on it.
Gary then goes on to confront Sarah and accuses her of giving him up to the police.
But she denies it.
Will Gary be arrested for killing Rick all those months ago and keeping it a secret?
And will he find out for sure that Sarah has had something to do with it?
Could Maria be left heartbroken if Gary goes to prison?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
