WWE's 'endgame' plans for Roman Reigns universal title reign revealed with Big Dog set to fight cousin Jey Uso

ROMAN REIGNS is set to fight cousin Jey Uso before his 'endgame' rivalry with Bray Wyatt.

Sportskeeda carry a report from the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that looks to have set in place what will happen to the Big Dog.

Reigns, who holds the Universal Championship, will defend his belt against Uso at this month's Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

But that storyline is apparently just filler for the real deal.

And WWE bosses intend that to be Reigns' feud with Bray Wyatt.

That is what is being considered by storyline writers as 'endgame material', the podcast claims.

The rivalry between the pair was meant to happen after WrestleMania 36 but Roman Reigns' hiatus from WWE put a spanner in the works.

Now he is back the plan is to have a series of fights between the pair leading up to a headline bout.

It is rumoured the showcase fight could take place at Hell in a Cell in November.

However, speaking on the podcast, wrestling reporter Tom Colohue said the more likely option is sometime after next year's Royal Rumble.

Reigns was recently linked with a move to WWE rival AEW.

Chris Jericho recently listed the Big Dog as one of the top stars from Vince McMahon's company he would love to see follow him to the upstart promotion.

Other former employees of McMahon have jumped ship to the Tony Khan-backed company, with Jon Moxley the current world champion.

Randy Orton held talks with AEW last year before signing a new 5-year WWE contract while Edge was offered an opportunity to make a wrestling comeback on Dynamite.

Raw and SmackDown meanwhile continues to be plagued with record-low ratings and questionable booking.
