WWE legend Stephanie McMahon shows off HUGE cast from hospital bed following ankle surgery days after resigning as CEO | The Sun

FORMER WWE bigwig Stephanie McMahon ended a whirlwind week by going under the knife.

McMahon left her role as Chairperson & co-CEO of WWE this week – just days after her father Vince's controversial return to the company.

Her departure set off a cascade of speculation about the future of the multi-billion-pound company – including rumours of a potential sale.

And one of her first post-resignation acts was to undergo surgery on her injured right ankle.

Stephanie shared photos of herself sporting a huge cast in the hospital on her Twitter and Instagram pages.

And she made light of the chaos behind the scenes at WWE headquarters by writing: "Busy week!

Stephanie announced her resignation from the WWE in the days after the return of her old man Vince – who retired last year following a number of sexual misconduct claims.
