TUESDAY at Newmarket is a bit of a minefield and the last couple of weeks have been hard work for punters.
The first day of the Craven meeting should throw up some horses to get excited about and my fancy fits bang in the middle of that category.
KICK ON (Newmarket, 3.00) looks worthy of taking on the Aidan O'Brien jolly with.
Anything he did at two should be considered a bonus and his maiden win on only his second run suggested he could have a big future.
He was sixth at a big price in the Vertem Futurity, but never got into the race at a big price and an extra furlong will be perfect here.
Gosden has a good record here and tends to use it as a springboard for some of his better three-year-olds.

O'Brien on the other hand uses it for measuring up his string with the British challengers and had the beaten favourite in this last spring.
I'm a big Kadar fan going forward, but I would not be surprised if he was pulled out due to the ground.
He needs some rain around before we see him to best effect.
Elsewhere on Tuesday…
I'll also be backing MARHABAN (5.20, Newmarket) in the last. He probably won't be much of a price but Appleby should get his season rolling with a winner or two on Tuesday's card.
