TEMPLEGATE goes in search of more winners on a bumper Sunday of racing with the ITV cameras in action again.
Read on for our man's top tips.
DEEP SIGH (5.45 Haydock, nap)
Looks a fair bet for classy 5lb claimer Saffie Osborne and canny trainer David Simcock.
The field has cut up in more ways than one for this with five non-runners and counting and that gives Deep Sigh a great chance to build on her win at Donny.
She clearly relished the heavy ground that day and has only been put up 2lb. She is Newmarket-based Simcock’s only runner on the card.
VINTAGE CHOICE (4.50 Haydock, nb)
A confident pick. William Haggas is having another good season and this newcomer will know his job.
He is related to plenty of horses that won first time out.
FAIRMAC (6.15 Haydock, treble)
Having his ninth run of the season but he’s a typical Mark Johnston battler who is thriving on it.
His past two outings have been his best with a win at Ayr and Chester second. He still looks on a winnable mark to strike again.
Coming down weights and these conditions will suit.
Hit the post at York in good company last time out.
4.50 Vintage Choice (nb)
Well bred and related to lots of juvenile winners.
5.20 Eternal Glory
Should be suited by this step up in distance.
5.45 Deep Sigh (NAP)
Conditions in favour and only 2lbs rise for latest victory.
6.15 Fairmac (treble)
Consistent performer who went close again at Chester.
6.40 Noonday Gun
Plenty in hand when scoring here last time out.
1.00 Femme Friendly
Beaten just over a length on debut and can improve.
Looks capable of better now upped in distance.
Good winner on last turf run and champion jockey takes over.
Bred to be classy and looks capable of a lot better.
3.10 Second Collection
Goes well here and best form over this trip.
Has slipped down weights and best over this course and distance.
1.18 Modern Games
Plenty in hand when scoring at Newmarket last time out.
1.48 Seas Of Elzaam
Winning handicapper who can go close dropped in grade.
2.20 Carbon Positive
Went close here last time and quality claimer on board.
Going close in maidens and can strike on handicap debut.
3.25 Jeans Maite
Lots left in the tank when winning at Thirsk last time out.
4.00 Sir Benedict
Has joined a top trainer and looks on fair weight.
4.33 Daniel Deronda
Game victory over course and distance last time out.
