MANCHESTER UNITED are trying to seal a cheap transfer for Kieran Trippier – but reportedly had a £10million opening bid rejected.
The Red Devils want to bring in a right-back this summer and have already identified Trippier as the suitable signing.

Trippier played 35 times last season for Atletico, including 28 in the league as Diego Simeone's side won LaLiga
It is understood the ex-Spurs man, originally from Bury, is keen on the move to Old Trafford and is even looking at houses in the area.
But according to Mundo Deportivo, their first offer was a paltry £10m – half the price Atletico Madrid paid for him two years ago.
The Spanish giants immediately turned it down.
And the report adds Atleti have told United they must stump up his £35m release clause to have any chance of signing Trippier, who is also a target for Arsenal.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be unwilling to pay that much for the 30-year-old, especially when he already has Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
There is talk, though, the Norwegian may want to experiment with Wan-Bissaka at centre-back next season if they can land Trippier.
A new central defender is high on the wishlist at Old Trafford.

Raphael Varane, Jules Kounde and Ben White have all been linked with a summer switch.
But Rio Ferdinand reckons the Euros is the perfect chance for someone to impress Solskjaer and earn a move.
The ex-United defender told SunSport: “What’s good about the Euros is there will be a good few centre-backs on show there.
“It’s also about who is available.
“I went to the World Cup and got bought off the back of a good season but also playing at a major tournament.
“This is a great opportunity for someone else to put themselves in the shop window and be purchased by a big club.
“Manchester United are in the market for a centre-back so what an opportunity for someone.”
