    CARROLL'S BACK

Ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has signed for his 13th club.

The 43-year-old has joined Dungannon Swifts in the NIFL Premiership after 18 months playing in Northern Ireland's fourth tier.

The former Northern Ireland international last played in the top flight for Linfield but left the club at the end of the 2018-19 season.

Carroll played for United between 2001 and 2005, making 72 appearances for the Red Devils.

    MILAN WANT DALOT

AC Milan are keen to make Diogo Dalot's loan move from Manchester United permanent.

Milan are believed to have approached United with a view to making a £15m offer for the Portuguese full-back this summer.

There was no option included in the deal to send Dalot to the San Siro in the summer as the Red Devils wanted £27m for the 21-year-old.

Dalot joined United for £19m in 2018 but has made just 20 Premier League appearances in that time.

    COTTEE APPROVAL

Former West Ham striker Tony Cottee is excited by the arrival of Jesse Lingard at the London Stadium.

    GARNER INTEREST

Manchester United midfielder James Garner will join Nottingham Forsest on loan until the end of the season.

Garner, 19, spent the first half of the season on loan at Watford but has opted to cut short his stay at Vicarage Road after being limited to just 40 minutes of football since Xisco Munoz's arrival in December.

Forest boss Chris Hughton has been keen to add to his midfield ranks and Garner looks set to complete a medical today.

Garner has one assist in 20 Championship appearances so far this term.

    PELL AWAY

Manchester United summer signing Facundo Pellistri is set to join Alaves on loan for the rest of the season, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 19-year-old joined United from Uruguayan side Penarol in October but has yet to make a first-team appearance.

Pellistri was believed to favour a move to Spain as he seeks regular game time, with Alaves beating out competition from Belgian side Club Brugge for the winger.

Alaves currently sit 18th in La Liga, a point adrift of safety.

    TEAM NEWS

United could welcome back three defenders for their trip to Arsenal this weekend.

Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw all missed the Red Devils' 2-1 defeat at home to Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

Another selection headache for Solskjaer involves who he will choose to the lead the line for his side.

Anthony Martial was selected on Wednesday but Edinson Cavani came on mid-way through the second half as the Frenchman was pushed into a role out wide.

It remains unclear whether Solskjaer will opt to stick or twist with the front line which was misfiring in midweek.

    UNITED EYE DEMBELE

Manchester United will target Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele if they fail to land Jadon Sancho this summer.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with the Borussia Dortmund attacker during last summer's transfer window but failed to meet the German club's £108m asking price.

German outlet Bild reports United will turn their attention to Dembele, 23, if they can't agree a deal for Sancho.

The Frenchman has struggled with injuries since joining Barca from Dortmund in 2017, but has scored six goals in 21 appearances so far this season.

    MORNING RED DEVILS FANS

Jesse Lingard has finally departed Manchester United by linking up with West Ham on loan until the end of the season.

Speaking of his move, the England international said: "I’m excited. It’s another new chapter in my life.

“Nothing is guaranteed but I’ve come here to work hard and help the team and bring my experience. That’s the main aim. I just want to enjoy my football and get back playing again and get my feet back on the pitch.

“There were lots of clubs involved but, for me personally, I felt this was the right move. The club is going in the right direction. We’re on the right track and I’m here to help."

And two other players are set to follow him out the Old Trafford door, with youngster Facundo Pellestri posed to join Alaves on loan.

Meanwhile Marcos Rojo's Red Devils nightmare will soon be coming to an end as the defender has agreed personal terms to move to Boca Juniors on a free transfer.

In other news, Brandon Williams will NOT be leaving the Theatre of Dreams on loan this month.

The young left-back has slipped down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pecking order after the arrival of Alex Telles.

But the Norwegian confirmed he is staying put and is in the squad for the game against Arsenal on Saturday despite interest from Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.

Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand has bet Peter Crouch United will finish above Liverpool this season.

And with a crate of wine on the line for the winner, the cub legend says he’s ‘confident in my boys’.

Finally, former United team-mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku have been handed a one match ban following their sensational on-field row.

And the rival strikers could face further action if the Italian Football Federation (IFF) open an investigation to determine whether any discriminatory language was used.

    CAV SOME OF THAT

Man Utd have teased the possibility of Edinson Cavani starting against Arsenal on Saturday.

Posting a snap of the striker in training, they tweeted: "Rested. Recovered. Raring to go again."

    HAMMER TIME

West Ham have announced the signing of Jesse Lingard from Man Utd on loan until the end of the season.

Speaking of his move, the England international said: “I’m excited. It’s another new chapter in my life.

“Nothing is guaranteed but I’ve come here to work hard and help the team and bring my experience. That’s the main aim. I just want to enjoy my football and get back playing again and get my feet back on the pitch.

“”There were lots of clubs involved but, for me personally, I felt this was the right move. The Club is going in the right direction. We’re on the right track and I’m here to help.

“I’ve obviously had a previous relationship with the manager as he was at Man U and I’ve played under him before, so he knows my qualities and what I can bring to the team.

“I know a couple of the players as well – I know Dec [Rice] very well from the England side – and I feel I can really settle in here quickly.”

    DIAL ME IN

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Amad Diallo will make his United debut for the club's U23s against Liverpool on Saturday.

He told MUTV's Stewart Gardner: "Yes, Amad will play in the game against Liverpool in the Under-23s.

"He's been training really well and settling in.

“He's ready to get some game-time and match exposure.

“I'm looking forward to seeing him. [Liverpool?] There you go. Welcome to English football!”

    LISTRI LESSON

Facundo Pellistri is tipped to join Alaves on loan until the summer for much-needed game-time.

The 19-year-old's United career has Pelli-flopped in its first season but Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sure it will go swimmingly once he gains senior experience.

A LaLiga deal is the likely springboard for the Uruguay starlet, with Alaves reportedly agreeing a deal in principle.

Goal suggest the £9milion summer signing will jet to Spain on Sunday to complete the move, providing contract details have been settled.

And it is thought third-bottom Alaves will pay part of the ex-Peñarol wideman's wages.

Pellistri has yet to play for United's first-team, despite recovering from coronavirus soon after joining.

    AUBA AND OUT

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will NOT be available for Arsenal's clash against Man Utd on Saturday.

Football.London claim the Gunners skipper will play no part in the match due to personal reasons.

The Gabon international has been looking after his mother who is suffering from illness.

    WRIGHT MOVE

Ian Wright can’t wait to see Jesse Lingard play on loan from West Ham as he believes it will help him rediscover his best form.

Lingard is reportedly on the verge of a loan move to the Hammers with David Moyes’ side paying £3million for the privilege of taking him from Manchester United.

And on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Wright said: “I cannot stress enough how hard it is to get through that academy. If it is West Ham then he’s going into a team that is playing with a lot of confidence.

“He’s going to play for a West Ham, you do a couple of things right there and those fans are fantastic.

“I only went there for a little while, but they see that you’re committed then you’re in. I can’t wait to see him play without the pressure of United on his shoulders.

“28 in football, especially for him, he’s not injury-prone, we’re talking about someone who’s very fit. The only thing that is missing from Jesse Lingard to get back to where he was, is confidence.

“Love him again, so we can see him dancing, doing his thing. A lot of what Jesse gets negativity coming towards him for… he’s got what Paul Pogba’s got. They’ve got a vibe, they’ve got swag, they’ve got sauce.”

    POWER SERGE

Real Madrid assistant boss David Bettoni has stated the club are not worries about Man Utd target Sergio Ramos’ contract running out in the summer.

He said: “I see Sergio everyday, and I can honestly tell you that I’m not worried at all about (his contract),.

“Like I said before, he’s on the road to recovery; he’s our captain and a great professional, but we aren’t going to take any risks with him, I can’t say any more than that.

“He’s getting better, but like I say we won’t risk it and we are fortune that at the moment we only have one game per week and we’ll see how he is ahead of next week.”

According to the Red Card report, Martial (6.6m followers) is the world's fourth most popular footballer on Chinese social media with Messi (6.59m) down in fifth.

Two Man Utd old boys occupy the first two slots, with Cristiano Ronaldo (15.07m) proving the most popular player for the third year running.

And eight years after his retirement, Brand Beckham is proving as strong as ever with the Inter Miami owner second on 8.72m followers.

    OD TO JOY

Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Arsenal's loam signing of Norwegian compatriot Martin Odegaard.

Odeegaard could make his Gunners debut against the Red Devils on Saturday at the Emirates.

Commenting on Odegaard, Solskjaer said: "Martin is a very talented young player and we know from the national team that he can cause any team problems.

"I just hope he’s not finding his form on Saturday. Wish him all the best.

"He’s a good boy, good attitude, right character, so I’m sure they’ve made a good signing there."

    REWIND

Arsenal will complete a Premier League double over Manchester United for the first time since 2007 if they win at the Emirates this weekend.

So we thought that would be a good opportunity to take a look back at both sides' teams from 13 years ago when the Gunners prevailed.

Arsene Wenger's side came into the clash having defeated Alex Ferguson's men earlier on in the season at Old Trafford.

On that day, the visitors capitalised on Cristiano Ronaldo giving the ball away, with Emmanuel Adebayor slotting home four minutes from time to snatch all three points.

And Arsenal had even more reason to feel positive about the return fixture at Highbury because they welcomed back Thierry Henry to the side, after he played no part in the game earlier on in the season at the Theatre of Dreams.

Here's how the two teams lined up…

    UP FOR THE CUP

Fans will be able to watch three FA Cup games for free in next month's fifth round including Manchester United versus West Ham.

The television schedule for the last-16 has been announced with BBC and BT Sport sharing the fixtures.

Chelsea fans will be able to watch new boss Thomas Tuchel take his side to Barnsley on Thursday, February 11.

Red Devils supporters can see their side welcome David Moyes back to Old Trafford with West Ham on Tuesday, February 9.

    JESS A SECOND

Jesse Lingard will not be available to face Liverpool on Sunday after West Ham failed to complete his loan move from Manchester United in time to meet the noon deadline, REPORTS DUNCAN WRIGHT.

The season long switch needed to be registered with the Premier League by midday today in order for the midfielder to be available to take on the champions.

Jesse Lingard is on the verge of becoming a Hammer

But boss David Moyes has revealed the paperwork and formalities were not done in time, so Lingard will have to wait until next week to make his first appearance in a Hammers shirt.

The 28-year-old arrived in London early this morning to go through his medical, but while there are no issues with it, the process has taken longer than hoped.

The Hammers boss said: “Well he's here doing a medical at the moment but it's not completed just yet.”

    RED DEVILISH BEHAVIOUR

Former Manchester United team-mates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku have been handed a one match ban following their sensational on-field row.

And the rival strikers could face further action if the Italian Football Federation (IFF) open an investigation to determine whether any discriminatory language was used.

The duo came head-to-head during a heated Milan derby which saw Lukaku's Inter come out 2-1 winners in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

AC Milan striker Ibrahimovic, 39, allegedly shouted: "Go do your voodoo s***, go do your voodoo s***, little donkey," at the Belgian star.

Lukaku appeared to suggest Ibra had said something about his mother, too, and according to the Mail, the Inter Milan striker fired back, saying: "'F*** you and your wife, you little b****. You want to speak about my mother?"

The ex-Chelsea and Everton man then charged at the Swede and blasted: “Let’s go inside you b****,” before both players were booked.

    OLE RAGES AT ABUSE

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit out at the ‘disgusting’ and ‘unacceptable’ racist abuse suffered by two of his players.

Anthony Martial and Axel Tuanzebe were both targeted on social media following Manchester United’s 2-1 midweek defeat to Sheffield United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer slammed abuse received by his player Anthony MartialCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd

And Red Devils boss Solskjaer said: “It's just incredible we have these scenes still, this abuse in 2021.

“We’ve been campaigning for a long time now with the Premier League and I think it's working but there are still some people that haven't got it.

“They hide behind social media, be anonymous and it's unacceptable and it's disgusting.

“They're not Man United fans when this happens. You have to feel sorry for these individuals.”

    DON DEAL

Brandon Williams will NOT be leaving Old Trafford on loan this month.

The young left-back has slipped down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's pecking order after the arrival of Alex Telles.

But the Norwegian confirmed he is staying put and is in the squad for the game against Arsenal on Saturday despite interest from Steve Bruce's Newcastle.

Solskjaer said: "This season has been more difficult for him. I think he’s put his head down and worked really hard lately. He will be involved tomorrow, he’s in the squad.

"That’s the biggest thing, when you find your first big contract, you do well, can you bounce back after not being in the team as much?

"Brandon has shown that lately so hopefully he will just keep carrying on as he does.

He knows my view on it, he knows my view on him and we believe in the boy. He has shown me that he has the desire to fight through this."
