LUCAS TORREIRA could have joined AC Milan this summer but Arsenal had “no intention” of letting him leave, according to the midfielder's agent.
Pablo Bentancur told TMW:“There was the possibility. (Marco) Giampaolo is in the heart of Lucas.

JOE WILLOCK has hailed Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg after his dream start to the season.
“Freddie is not only such a legend at the club, he’s an unbelievable manager and coach,” said Willock. “He’s a mentor for me, he showed me a lot behind the scenes that people don’t really know about.
“Every day I’m working with him and I’m learning from him.
“He’s improved my whole overall game. If I’m being specific, getting in the pockets when I’m playing No.10 and attacking at No.8.

JOSH KROENKE has promised Arsenal fans that the club will be 'proactive' in the January transfer market — even though they spent more than £130million on new players over the summer.
He told BBC Sport: “I would say that if you're reacting and doing club-record signings based on public opinion, you're not going to go very far as a club.
“We weren't reactive this summer, we were actually proactive.
“As for January, I don't want to get ahead of ourselves.
“We've got to evaluate some things in the short term and figure out where we might need to address going forward, so when January does roll around we're going to be proactive again.”
JAMIE CARRAGHER has tipped Arsenal's firepower to guide them to a top four finish this season – but Gary Neville believes they will be beaten by Manchester United.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, he said: “I think in Lacazette and Aubameyang, that’s a proper goal threat. Probably as good as anything with two strikers.”
