Vampire goth transforms into glam girl next door – leaving husband flabbergasted

A self-described vampire whose gothic look was inspired by the castle her family owns underwent an eye-popping transformation by turning into a glamorous girl next door.

Victoria Lovelace, who has real vampire fangs, has been dressing in all black ever since she was a teenager.

But she recently had a major makeover as part of an episode of Hooked On The Look by swapping her black clothes for more colourful high street fashion.

Her husband was left speechless after a professional makeup artist covered up her tatts and gave her a blonde wig to finish off the girly look.

Afterwards, Victoria told the Daily Star: “I immediately thought ‘oh my god wow I look like a younger version of my Mum’.

“I hadn’t seen myself dressed normal like that in 10 years. I think they did a good job and even though I looked normal I still looked like a vampire because of my permanent fangs."

Victoria added: “The outfit looked high class and expensive and they were still able to make me glam which I liked."

Her usual dark outfit with gothic accessories was replaced with a sleeveless cream coloured top, matching trousers and high heels.

Afterwards she posed beside her husband, Dracul Grotesque, who was dressed in his usual style – which Victoria described as “more evil” than hers.

Dracul said his wife “looked beautiful” but he wasn’t sold on her dramatic new glam appearance.

The beauty entrepreneur said: “My husband got pretty shocked. They didn’t show it on the episode much but he was like ‘wow’.

“He prefers me as a magical vampire princess for sure. But he loves me the way I am for my heart and soul.

“But it is the same for me, I wouldn’t like it if he started dressing mainstream because I love his style.”

Victoria lives in Stockholm, Sweden, and grew up in a 16th century castle owned by her family.

She has dressed differently ever since she was a kid after being inspired by her historic surroundings.

The gothic model is obsessed with the Victorian era and grew up daydreaming about what it would be like to live in the 19th century.

Her grandmother would even make her old-school outfits and because of her alternative style, Victoria was often stared at in the street.

She said: “I grew up in a small town and when I started dressing goth people would stop and really stare and you’re like damn ‘I’m a freak here’.

“Now here in Stockholm people look but don’t stare the same but when I’m in LA people will come right up to you and just tell you whether they like it or not.

“In Sweden they would never do that.”

Victoria now runs her own makeup business called Lovelace Cosmetics.

Despite enjoying being a girl next door for the day, Victoria said she wasn’t inspired to modify her unique style.

She said: “I was 15 or 16 when I discovered the gothic style and the music that comes with it and I felt like I had found my way home.

“Now I describe myself as a magical vampire princess and I think I have a creepy cute look.

“I definitely wouldn’t change that now but maybe I will have a transformation like this every 10 years – but not before then.”
