Aldi’s hanging egg chair must be one of the most sought-after pieces of affordable furniture in recent history.

Earlier this month, the rattan hanging chair, which is a favourite of Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon’s, sold out in minutes… again!

But for those of you that missed out on the opportunity, we have some good news as Tesco have recently released a very stylish alternative.

The rival supermarket’s version of the chair can be yours for just £150, and has comfy grey cushions inside.

What makes it different to Aldi’s one is that it does not hang, and is instead firmly grounded on four legs.

  • Where to buy Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch's favourite jet washer which is so 'satisfying'

However, the only catch is that the chair will only be available in 100 stores across the UK, and you cannot buy it online.

It would be perfect both indoor and outdoor. Following the recent ease in lockdown restrictions which means we can now socialise in gardens in groups of six or less, garden furniture has been selling out everywhere.

Therefore, you better be quick!

On Sunday 4 April, thousands queued virtually to get their hands on Aldi's coveted chair.

It went on sale at 8 am, but by 8:15 am the chair was already sold out.

More than 200,000 people had joined the queue to get on to the site, according to Birmingham live.

A message on the supermarket's website told would-be customers: “We’re very sorry, but there are currently lots of people trying to access the Aldi website.

“We’ve automatically placed you in a queue. Don’t worry about refreshing – this page will update automatically as soon as you can enter the site.”

Many took to Twitter to vent their frustrations, with one writing: “What do I do now…? I’ve queued for 40 minutes and it’s not ready?! #Aldi
