Confectionery fans go wild as KitKat launches new marbled Zebra bar featuring dark and white chocolate

From mouthwatering Green Tea Matcha to indulgent Ruby, KitKat has debuted a series of innovative chocolate flavours in recent years.

Now, the confectionery manufacturer has sparked another frenzy with the announcement that KitKat Zebra will become available in stores across the UK and Ireland this month. 

Social media users have taken to the brand’s Instagram page to voice their excitement, with many admitting they ‘can’t wait’ to try it, with the snack following KitKat Gold which became permanent after finding success as a limited edition treat last year.

KitKat Zebra features the trademark crispy wafer on a dark chocolate base, topped with marbled dark and white chocolate. 

The 41.5g bar, which is 20p more expensive than a regular KitKat at 85p, will be available from major retailers such as Co-op from 10th February, and will be in convenience stores from March. 

Zebra will also be sold in a multi-pack (3 x 41.5g bars) exclusively in Tesco stores. 

KitKat announced the new flavour on Instagram saying: ‘Say hello to NEW KITKAT Zebra. Indulgent dark & white chocolate infused together to add a little adventure to your break’

Revealing their eagerness to try, one person wrote: ‘Wow i’m so excited’

Another said: ‘Can’t wait to try this’

‘No way this is awesome,’ a third commented.   

Another added: ‘OMG I need this in my life!’

Instagram users have gushed about the announcement, with many admitting they ‘cant’wait’ to try the new treat 

Callum Smith who is Assistant Brand Manager for KitKat revealed the new treat aims to deliver the best of dark and white chocolate varieties.

He said: ‘Now over 85 years old, KitKat’s unique mix of heritage and innovation has helped to make it one of the UK’s most iconic confectionery brands. 

‘We know how much people love to discover new KitKat flavours, and we think Zebra is an innovation they will go wild for!

‘KitKat Zebra brings you the best of both worlds – combining deliciously rich dark and white chocolate with our crispy wafer – and we hope fans will agree that it tastes as good as it looks. All we can say is, stripes are definitely in this season!’
