My husband is putting my vulnerable patients at risk by breaking lockdown rules

DEAR DEIDRE:  MY husband is a complete hypocrite, clapping for the NHS then putting my patients at risk.

We’ve been married for four years and are both 47. We each have three children from previous marriages.

I’m an NHS nurse looking after extremely vulnerable people.

At the start of the pandemic we agreed to keep the house safe.

Even after lockdown, we talk outside when our grown-up kids visit.

But my husband lets his 19-year-old son’s girlfriend stay over, though she is at a uni where Covid is rife.

It’s disrespectful towards my job. I’m ready to leave him.

DEIDRE SAYS: Maybe he feels torn but organise a family Zoom meeting with your partner, his son and his girlfriend.

Show some sympathy (you were young once!) but explain to them how vulnerable your patients are and that taking these risks puts their lives in danger.
