My boyfriend tells me I'm 'boring' when I talk about marriage and babies | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I WAS convinced that by the time I turned 35, I’d have bought a house, married my perfect man and would have at least one child of my own.

Instead, I’m living in a mouldy rented flat, separate from my partner of five years, and under strict orders to stay on birth control.

My boyfriend’s 34, and seems set against growing up.

Any time I discuss buying a house or marriage, he shuts me down.

He is constantly telling me to “stop being so old and boring”.

But I don’t want to grow old, I just want to grow up.

All my school friends have settled down, and I’d like the same.

Do I need to find someone else if I want those things in the not-so-distant future?
