Here's Who Won the Iron Throne on 'Game of Thrones'

Welp, it’s been 84 years, Game of Thrones is finally over, and I’m exhausted. As the title implies, the entire point of this show was figuring out who would end up on the Iron Throne and rule Westeros, and we officially have our winner. In the event that you were too busy to watch Game of Thrones and are desperate to know how it ends and/or just want to know what everyone’s talking about on social media, here’s a primer on who won the throne. But before we name names, please note that spoilers are ahead. Obviously.

Kay, so before we get to who won the throne, it should be noted that said throne was technically melted by Drogon mid-way through the episode, right after Jon Snow killed Daenerys. But there was still a pretty clear winner at the end, and it was most certainly not Jon Snow. It was…um…Bran. Otherwise known as the most annoying character on this show.

Bran was elected by a council, and he picked Tyrion as his hand—which makes sense given Tyrion’s the only person left on this show with any modicum of intelligence. And speaking of Bran’s new council (aka the people governing Westeros), it includes Samwell Tarly, Davos Seaworth, Brienne, and our main man Bronn.

Obviously, the show is over so it’s unclear what kind of ruler Bran will be, but I assume he’ll spend his time “warging” and being generally unhelpful. Bye.
