Daily horoscope for May 4: YOUR star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast TODAY

The New Moon in Taurus is preparing to perfect. A New Moon cycle takes place when the light of the Sun is inhibited by the planet Earth, meaning instead of light we on Earth see only shadow. Consequently expect to experience an alignment of mind, body and spirit today.

Marina Stoichkova, an astrologer from MarStars, believes the New Moon is an opportunity to reflect on what we want from life.

Saturday is a time to generally prepare for a new start

She said: “The wonderful, magical New Moon in Taurus happens today so Saturday is a time to generally prepare for a new start.

“Today is an ideal opportunity to materialise your goals. You should make a list of your wishes, which is a ritual for people to do on New Moons.

“This is because your deepest desires seem to come into fruition more easily on these occasions.

“I would encourage you to think what material things are important for you.”

Issues can range from what financial status you want to achieve, or how you should best look after your health.

Astrologer Marina added: “The more you focus on these matter, specifically on this day, and even on the following two weeks, the more you will achieve in your life.

“This makes Saturday on of the most important days of the week, in an astrological sense.”

The Moon joins in with Mercury who is in Aries, and this can create tension by way of communication.

When two zodiac signs are a step apart from one another it can generate friction even though you may be unprepared.

Aries, the first astrological sign in the zodiac, is all about action.

But it may today pay to trust that the Moon in Taurus is working with Neptune for the purpose of realising your dreams.

Saturday’s Moon in Taurus and its communication with Venus in Aries also means long-term goals may take time to come to fruition.

But do not expect progress to be easy, as the Moon squares with Saturn and Pluto which are both retrograde.
