Woman forced to jump in a LAKE to get out of friends’ gender reveal pics & people are horrified

GENDER reveals are becoming more and more glamorous these days.

So when it came to either ruining her friends' photos from the special moment they found out whether they were having a boy or girl, or jumping into a lake, one devoted friend chose the latter option.

Tauana Kim took to TikTok to share a video of the gender reveal, in which the parents-to-be could be seen setting off smoke cannons with blue smoke – signifying they are expecting a boy.

As the pair screamed in excitement and embraced, Tauana was seen in the background, jumping up from her crouched down position and running to the side of the dock, before diving into the water.

The video has been watched an incredible million times, and while many viewers took to the comments section to praise Tauana for her "dedication" as a friend, others were less impressed.

"I would’ve been dying if I was the mama," one person wrote, while another added: "You literallly got IN the picture.

"Should've jumped from the back side like AWAYYY from them lmao."

"All you did was make more of a scene and (took attention) off of them," someone else commented.

Tauana later returned to TikTok to share a story time clip explaining exactly what happened – and what prompted her to jump into the lake.

"I was not trying to take the spotlight by jumping into the lake, by all means," she began.

"This is their first kid, I have two – I know how special this is for them. And I was just trying to help them out. I knew the gender of the baby so I was lighting the (smoke cannons) for them."

While she was intending to set off the fireworks, the wind on the day proved problematic, and it took Tauana longer than she thought it would to get them set up.

"So when they actually caught on fire, I went to run but when I looked up, there was no room to run in between them and not be fully in the video," she continued.

"So I was just trying to get out of the camera shot as soon as possible. As soon as I got up, I heard my friend screaming in excitement and I’m like, ‘Oh no, the colour is starting to show.’ So the only thing I could do is jump in the lake!"

While some people suggested that Tauana could have been photoshopped out of the shots, she insisted that hadn't even crossed her mind as she's not technologically savvy.

And she couldn't have just stayed where she was as the fireworks were about to go off, and she "didn't want to burn to death".

But she couldn't even escape when she jumped into the water, as the fireworks began "flying towards me and all above me".

"I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m gonna die!'" she recalled. "It was a mess. It was fun though, but it was a mess."
