Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 57, is in Botswana as part of her royal tour of the Commonwealth and to mark World Sight Day. This morning she visited a primary school in Kopong, for which she wore a Co Belted Linen and Cotton-Blend Midi Dress, designed by Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern.
However, the Countess has since changed into her Suzannah Classic Silk Tea Dress in Heart Leaves, which she wore earlier this year during her tour to the Caribbean.
Sophie changed into this dress to meet the President of the Republic of Botswana, Mr Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, in the President’s Office in Gaborone.
The description of the dress reads: “A pure silk vintage-inspired tea dress in Ivory with blue heart-shaped leaves. Inspired by the leaves on a Gingko tree.
“Based on our best-selling 1930s silk tea dress block, this signature style is beautifully flattering with unique charm and versatility. The print has been digitally printed onto Italian silk crepe de chine, by our expert silk mill in Como, Italy.
“The dress has short pleated sleeves, with a shirred empire seam and bias-cut silhouette. There is an invisible centre back zip for step-in ease and the dress is lined from the empire seam to the hemline in Italian silk habotai.”
Although no longer available on the Suzannah website, this dress can be purchased from Shopper Board for a whopping £1,050.
Despite changing outfit from earlier, Sophie kept her accessories the same.
She could still be seen wearing her Felt diamond bracelet which costs a sensational £375.
The description for the bracelet reads: “Another great addition to our diamond slice collection, designed in-house by our team.
“Slightly more subtle than the original diamond bracelet, this bracelet has been a massive hit amongst our loyal clients, perfect for layering or beautiful on its own.
“The sliced diamond is set in 14ct diamond with 9ct gold chain, which is 20.5cm long but the length is adjustable and can be shortened.”
The Countess wore a blue pair of dangling earrings, which perfectly matched her blue floral dress.
In addition, she wore a large gold pendant necklace to meet the President of Botswana.
Also making an appearance, Sophie wore her diamond engagement ring from Prince Edward.
He said: “Sophie Wessex’s engagement ring is a testament to enduring love. The two-carat oval diamond in the centre is adorned by two small heart-shaped diamonds on either side, set into a platinum band.”
What is the hidden meaning behind the ring?
The expert explained: “The trilogy diamond engagement design which brings together three diamonds, has been said to represent the past, the present and the hope for a beautiful future of a couple’s unique loving relationship.
“In addition, platinum is the most secure precious metal for holding precious gemstones and is associated with resilience and longevity.
“With this royal engagement ring, Prince Edward marked his private wedding proposal with a very meaningful token of romance.”
