FANS of the royal family were sent into swoon overdrive by Princess Charlotte's adorable gesture towards her older brother Prince George on a their first royal engagement in Cardiff on Sunday.

The regal children were accompanied by their parents Prince William, 39, and The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, as they met with performers in a Platinum Jubilee concert at Cardiff Castle.

Seven-year-old Princess Charlotte is known for her fun personality, as she's been spotted pulling sweet faces and waving at photographers.

But on Sunday's Welsh outing the royal darling showed her tender side as she took a small purple flower and gave it to her older brother Prince George, 8.

Despite her outgoing personality, the young princess may have been a bit tired and overwhelmed after an eventful jubilee weekend as she appeared more shy than usual.

She held hands with her mother Kate as they walked around the castle and only reached out to shake someone's hand after encouragement from the Duchess.
