PRIMARK workers have been revealing secrets of the popular store ahead of its reopening on April 12.
While millions of shoppers are eagerly waiting to return to the budget retailer, staff are transforming the chains ahead of doors opening.
One person, who claimed to be a Primark staff member, said on a Facebook fan page of the chain: “I work in Primark and everything we had last year is going back to the depo until the end of the year, but I’m not too sure.”
Another claimed you’ll be able to pick up winter items in a sale.
They said: “Swansea has already been merchandised to spring summer , there is some winter clearance and winter stock on the floor.”
And a third staff member agreed that you’ll still be able to pick up some winter items, but most of the stock will be summer.
They explained: “For those that are unaware a majority of Primark staff are now back to work getting the store summer ready for you guys when we reopen.
“All winter stock is being boxed up and summer stock is getting delivered. Wont be long now guys.
“EDIT: when I said ALL winter stock i should have said a majority. We are still keeping a v small amount if winter stuff. But majority has to go to make space for summer lines.”
Former employee Poleighh Soper took to TikTok where she shared some of her insider knowledge of the bargain fashion store with her 72,000 followers.
Poleighh explains that rather than just calling for security, staff will use a secret code.
Speaking in her video, she says: “Have you ever heard ‘can Mr Brown just come to the checkout?’ Let me tell you who that is.
“Say your security company, who stand by the door to make sure nobody’s stealing, their name is Brown’s Security Services, that’s who they’re calling.
“They’re actually calling for security, they just don’t want the customer to know.”
Ever noticed that Primark employees always remove the tissue from makeup bags or handbags when you’re paying? Poleighh explains why.
“That’s to check that you’re not stealing,” she says.
“However, we’re not actually allowed to accuse you of stealing… we just have to simply say ‘would you like that as well?’
“I can tell you ten out of ten times, the answer is ‘no thanks.’”
Explaining the different meanings of the call bell on the till, she explains: “One bell means we need an extra person over here – it’s busy.
“Two rings of the call bell, we want a supervisor or a manager’s help.
“If you hear three rings of a call bell it means there’s an emergency.”
Poleighh also revealed how to get a discount in Primark, and said: “If you've got a slight bit of dirt or damage on an item and they don't have any more of them in your size take it to the till.
"If you're still happy to buy it that's 10 per cent off."
