Mum hailed a genius for bonkers solution which saved all her fish after her pond sprung a sudden leak

A MUM has been hailed as a genius for her solution which saved all her fish after her pond sprung a sudden leak.

Sarah Robinson shared the garden hack to house her fish, which came at a “bargain.”

After her pond developed a leak, Sarah had to rush to Morrisons to buy one of their eight foot pools on offer for £14 in order to save her fish.

Sharing the picture online, she wrote: “So our pond developed a leak, rushed to Morrison's to buy one of the 8ft pools on off for £14 with my discount it was £11.90, bargain!!

“So I have a makeshift pond for a few days lol. And with it being clear sides I can sit n (SIC) watch the fish.

“But worth £14 of anyone's money even if you just get the summer out of it.”

And fans of the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, shared the post in flocked to show their appreciation of the post.

One wrote: “Great idea,” while another added: “leave them in there…it looks lush.”

However, according to Aqua Buddy Pools they do not recommend trying this.

On their website it states: “This is a bad idea for a number of different reasons.

"While some homeowners are decorating their property with water effects featuring live fish — such as koi ponds — adding fish to your swimming pool is not the answer.

“Adding live fish to your pool will only kill them, which is cruel to the fish and a waste of your money.

“If you truly want to enjoy having live fish at your home, buy a fish tank and maintain it according to the standards that are best for the fish.

“Or install a koi pond or fountain in your home that is safe for fish and not for humans.”
