A BEAUTY fanatic has been compared to Marge Simpson after trying a cheap DIY lip filler hack.
Jasmine Chiswell, originally from Carluke, Lanarkshire, now lives in LA and works as an influencer after making her name as a Marilyn Monroe lookalike.
In a recent TikTok video for her nearly 17million followers, the mum of one tried a retro technique used by ladies in the 1940s to achieve a plumper pout.
But the method – which involves stuffing your mouth with cotton wool – didn’t lead to the outcome Jasmine was expecting.
She said: “This might be the most disgusting thing ever.
“They actually don’t require any needles and you do it yourself at home.
“You would stuff your upper lip with cotton balls.
“This feels like it’s going to be so gross.
“This is so disgusting.”
With a bag of 200 cotton wool balls costing just £1.50 in Asda, the hack works out at less than 3p a go using three pieces a go.

But it was quickly apparent that it felt very uncomfortable and even impacted Jasmine’s speech.
Her followers were also quick to share their horror at the alternative style of lip filler and think it’s right that nobody does it anymore.
Joking about her voice, one follower said: “Definitely giving Marge Simpson vibes.”
Another said: “Oh nooooo I hate cotton wool, the thought of touching it and ripping it makes my skin crawl.”
While a fan added: “Not me physically feeling unwell because I HATE the feeling of cotton, and my skin just crawls.”
Jasmine previously told how she was mum-shamed and inundated with cruel comments over the very unusual name she chose for her firstborn son.
Midnight Maverick, one, hit headlines worldwide last year thanks to his unique moniker, and Jasmine has equally quirky plans for his baby brother or sister
After revealing her shortlist of names for her second baby, trolls insisted: "It’s a pet name…not a human name."
