FINDING the right foundation for you can be a pricey business – particularly if you opt for the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, Estee Lauder and Armani.
But savvy shoppers think they’ve cracked the code on how to get an unlimited supply of free foundation.
The only catch is that you have to be ballsy.
The trick is to ask for foundation samples from your favourite make-up brands at their concession counters.
According to beauty buffs, a little sample pot can last up to four months if you don’t use much.
“Go to Selfridges and go to different counters asking for a foundation match, then afterwards ask for a sample,” Bunny French explained in the Freebies UK Facebook group.

“Dior is my favourite by far as I’m super pale and currently on their 000.
“The samples contain quite a lot in all fairness.
“Because I don’t do full coverage a lot, a sample can last me three to four months. After that, I get another.
“Easier when you’re not sure on foundations and don’t want to spend £5 to £60 on one.”

Other women in the group echoed Bunny’s advice.
“Ask at beauty counters,” Roxanne Bowling said. “Try Estee Lauder.
“They will match a shade and give a little ten day sample.
“Chanel, Dior and Lancôme are great for samples too.”
“Try going to some beauty counters and ask them for a colour match and a few samples,” Lorraine Shenton added.
Others pointed out that brand’s are happy to hand out free samples because you may become a “lifelong customer” if the products impress you.
According to beauty bible British Vogue, some of the best foundations this year include Bobbi Brown’s £51 Intensive Serum Foundation and Gucci’s £46 Fluide De Beauté Natural Finish Foundation.
It’s more affordable recommendations were L’Oréal Paris’ £12 Infallible 24hr Freshwear Liquid Foundation and MAC’s £29 Studio Fix Fluid Foundation.
