Tom Parkers widow Kelsey takes first trip since The Wanted stars death for pals wedding

Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey took to Instagram on Friday to tell her followers about her upcoming weekend that would be “bittersweet” after the death of her beloved husband.

Kelsey, 32, shared a video of herself on her Instagram story telling fans that she had travelled to Ireland to celebrate her friend’s wedding, which is the first she’s attending since Tom’s death. The Wanted star Tom died age 33 in March following a brave battle with brain cancer.

Speaking to the camera, Kelsey told her followers: “Hey guys, so I've just got to Ireland today. I've come to Ireland for my best friend's wedding Ruth Ann and Ollie's wedding.

“Yep it's gonna be a really weird weekend for me, obviously it's gonna be a bittersweet. Because obviously Ruth and Ollie are getting married, and I'm super happy for them, but Tom was meant to be here this weekend, he was meant to be an usher.”

She added: “It's gonna be the first event, wedding, that I've actually been to, without him being with me. So yeah, this weekend is going to be a tough one.”

Late singer Tom and Kelsey shared two children together, Aurelia, two, and one year old Bodhi.

Tom was firstdiagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020,where he was told that was inoperable.

Discussing the heartbreaking news with OK! at the time, Kelsey said: "It still doesn’t feel real. I don’t think Tom will ever process this information. It’s horrendous. Watching your partner go through this is so hard, because how can I tell him to not let it consume him?”

Tom's passing in March came weeks after he took part in The Wanted's recent reunion tour, where the late 33 year oldtook to the stage in a wheelchair.

He was supposed to be joining his bandmates for the full tour, but was only able to make a couple of appearances afterpulling out due to his cancer treatment.

Before his tragic death, Tom had spoken of his hopes ofbecoming cancer free by March 2022.

The singer and his wife had also discussedhaving more childrenand said they feel very lucky to be blessed with two.

Kelsey explained: “Everything happens for a reason. We’re blessed we’ve got a boy and a girl. The age gap was short.”

Tom agreed, adding: “So if we didn’t have any more we’d be happy,” as Kelsey interjected: “But we will have more!”

The couple met outside a London nightclub in 2009 and married in a lavish ceremony in 2018.

The occasion, which was exclusively covered by OK! , was dubbed “the best day of our lives” by Tom.
