This Loki<\/em> Fan Theory Suggests Miss Minutes May Be More Than She Seems

Episode 4 of Marvel Studios’ Loki, “The Nexus Event,” ended on a pretty huge revelation, that the Timekeepers, the seemingly all-powerful beings who created and direct the TVA, were actually cyborgs being operated by an outside source. Which has left viewers wondering: if the Timekeepers were a decoy, who is the real villain of the show?

While there has been plenty of buzz around the imminent arrival of the iconic character Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Paul from the Heavy Spoilers YouTube channel has an alternate theory as to who the ultimate antagonist of Loki will turn out to be, and it’s a character we’ve already met: Miss Minutes.

Yes, that’s right, some fans believe that the cutesy animated clock voiced by Tara Strong, who represents a kind of Clippy-esque mascot for the vast bureaucracy of the TVA, could actually be revealed as the mastermind who has been pulling every evil string, in much the same way that WandaVision‘s friendly neighbor Agnes was actually Agatha All Along.

So far in the show, Miss Minutes has demonstrated that she is more than a simple recording, interacting with Loki and dodging his attempts to swat her with a rolled-up magazine, behavior which certainly seems to indicate that she is a form of artificial intelligence in her own right, rather than just the TVA’s answer to Siri or Alexa.

“I think it would be a cool little twist to have it revealed that she’s the one behind it all,” Paul says in the video, which also offers up a couple of different theories as to who the villain might be, including another as-yet-unseen Loki variant, or He Who Remains, a figure from the comic books.
