After a four-year hiatus from appearing on talk shows, pop star Taylor Swift returned to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to chat about her upcoming album, her dramatic split with Joe Jonas in 2008 and more.
“I want to do what feels right at the time. At that time, I coined this phrase, ‘There will be no explanation, there will just be reputation.’ Cause I am dramatic,” the singer shared, explaining her decision to do minimal promotion for her massively popular 2017 album, Reputation.
When asked if the new record was finished, Swift confirmed that it was nearly complete, adding, “Unless I write something else then I’ll just probably put it on the album.”
She also revealed that she is currently working on a music video for another track from the album, to which Ellen suggested she should be featured in it.
“That would be a dream. Would you want to do that?” asked a shocked Swift, to which Ellen responded, “OK. Yeah, I’ll do it.”
When asked about the most rebellious thing she did as a teenager, a shame-faced Swift admitted that it may have been the incident on DeGeneres’ show when she slammed her ex, Joe Jonas, for having broken up with her over a “25-second phone call” back in 2008.
“That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy … just teenage stuff there,” she said.
