Former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo is one step closer to getting closure in her 2017 home invasion.
On Friday, police arrested James Mainello, a 51-year-old from New Jersey, for his alleged role in the May 2017 crime in Holmdel, NJ, TMZ reports. Officials were able to use DNA evidence to nab him, the outlet reports.
Mainello is now facing multiple robbery charges, multiple assault charges, a theft charge and a burglary charge among others.
Page Six previously reported that Manzo, 47, and her now-fiancé Dave Cantin, 39 were bound and beaten in a horrific home invasion following pal Teresa Giudice’s daughter Audriana’s communion. Manzo and Cantin were both treated for injuries before returning to their Malibu, Calif. home; Manzo had allegedly been punched while Cantin was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat.
The suspected robbers allegedly made off with cash and jewelry.
“We are so grateful to the New Jersey law enforcement authorities, whose diligent investigation over the last two years culminated in today’s arrest,” the couple’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, told us Friday. “Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern for our well-being. We’ve had such a great support system.”
