Ryan Reynolds is opening up about helping out where you can during the ongoing health crisis.

The 43-year-old Deadpool star joined Stephen Colbert via video chat on Wednesday’s (April 1) The Late Show, and talked about teaming up with his wife Blake Lively to help give back.

Ryan and Blake have made two donations in the fight against the pandemic, and his company, Aviation Gin, is also pledging a percentage of sales from the liquor to aid out-of-work bartenders.

“I’m not really in the business of telling people what to do, necessarily, but I do think it’s incumbent upon those who can give back to do so,” Ryan explained. “Particularly an a time like this. People are struggling to pay rent, they’re struggling to buy food… I just felt and Blake felt that it was important to give back.”

“I think most companies if they can, they need to be doing something,” Ryan insisted. “They need to be giving back in some way.”
