Prince Charles Made "No Real Breakthrough" During Jubilee Talks with the Sussexes

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle flew to England for the Jubilee to support the Queen, there’s been speculation about exactly how much time they spent with the royal family. And while the couple didn’t really get a chance to reconnect with Prince William and Kate Middleton, apparently they did see Harry’s father, Prince Charles.

But according to royal expert Christopher Andersen the meeting wasn’t a massive success. Speaking to the “Royally Us” podcast, via OK!, Christopher said “Well, I understand that it was a perfunctory meeting and that there was no real breakthrough. And I have a feeling that Prince Harry definitely went there hoping for some sort of rapprochement, but there were no touchy-feely vibes coming back in his direction. So, I think the curtain has come down.”

Meanwhile, Prince William is apparently still upset with Harry over their ongoing issues. Sources close to Wills recently told the Daily Mail that their relationship is at “rock bottom” and that William “alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done. He truly loves Harry and feels he has lost the only person, aside from his wife, who understood this strange life of theirs. But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry has 100 per cent crossed that line.”

“The truth is they have got to find some common ground again. But to do that both have to admit fault — and it’s pretty obvious that one of them is absolutely refusing to do that,” the friend added. “William is also very principled and believes Harry has crossed a line. He’s thrown accusation after accusation, knowing that silence is the family’s only option because it doesn’t want to get dragged into a public slanging match.”

It’s unclear when Harry and Meghan will next be in England, but hopefully the family will get a chance to connect more!
