The finalists from this summer’s edition of Love Island are en route to the UK after spending months in sunny Marbella, and have boarded a plane together.
But after Ella Thomas shared a glimpse of their flight, many fans were left puzzled after Molly Marsh and her partner Zachariah Noble appeared to be “missing”.
Jess Harding and Sammy Root were crowned the winners of the smash hit reality dating show, as Monday night's final, on 31 July, saw the happy couple win the whopping £50,000 prize money.
During the live instalment, hosted by Maya Jama, finalists Tyrique Hyde and his girlfriend Ella, as well as Jess and Sammy; Zach and Molly; and Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki, eagerly awaited to find out who would take home the crown before the winners were confirmed.
Third place lovebirds Ella and Ty offered fans a glimpse into their return home on Wednesday (2 August) after saying goodbye to the sprawling Spanish villa. Sitting next to one another on the plane, the Scottish model went live on her Instagram Stories.
At one point, she shared the screen with winners Jess and Sammy. Jess asked her co-star if she was “afraid of flying”, but Ella struggled to hear her over the sounds of the plane. Apologising, she laughingly confessed she couldn’t hear a word her friend was asking.
Jess and Sammy exited the livestream, before Ella revealed who was sitting behind her and her beau – villa bestie Whitney and her partner Lochan. Ella put Love Island runner up Whitney on camera, as the popular star posed and chatted to viewers.
When Ella turned the camera back around on herself and Ty, he took the opportunity to offer his thanks to fans for voting for them and offering their support. Ella sweetly agreed, as the adorable couple smiled and cosied up to one another.
But fans were left scratching their heads after noticing Molly was notably absent from her Instagram live. The blonde beauty and her partner Zach made no appearance at any point during the brief video.
Many fans were quick to comment, all asking the same thing: “Where is Molly?”
Molly and Zach finished in fourth place in the competition. They had a tumultuous time in the villa, after Molly was briefly dumped from the show in a shocking twist ahead of the much anticipated Casa Amor storyline.
It was all a ruse though, as the aspiring television presenter returned as a bombshell, much to Zach’s surprise.
While she was on the outside, he connected with Love Island OGKady McDermott. Eventually though, Zach and Molly were able to reconcile and resume their relationship but it wasn’t enough to see them scoop the jackpot prize.
