Jared Leto found himself in the middle of a protest in Rome over the weekend, and he paid the price. “Got caught in a protest in Italy,” the actor wrote on his Instagram Story on Oct. 9 while sharing several videos and photos of the chaos. “From what I gather it was about vaccine mandates/green pass.” He added that he “got teargassed then called it a night.” Jared’s photos and videos (some of which are seen here) were graphic, as they show police in riot gear and a bloodied man nursing a head wound. Reuters reported that civil unrest in Italy was in response to new mandates in that will require workers to have a Green Pass, which allows travel between European Union members. Green Pass essentially means that a person has had at least one COVID shot, tested negative or recently recovered from COVID.

Kim Kardashian West had a familiar face in the front row supporting her while hosting “Saturday Night Live”: her estranged husband, Kanye West. The rapper’s presence is only intensifying growing reconciliation rumors. In fact, a source told Page Six that the two “kept waving and making eyes at each other” throughout the “SNL” gig. “At one point, before the Kourt skit, Kim blew a kiss in his direction,” the eyewitness said. Kanye sat alongside Kim’s inner circle, which included sister Khloe Kardashian, her mom Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble, and Kim’s best friend La La Anthony. On another note, Kim’s hosting gig was very, very well-received. She killed it.

Adele’s newest single is out… sort of. On Oct. 9, the singer posted her very first Instagram Live, and in doing so, she played a portion of her upcoming single, “Easy on Me,” claiming she “might get in trouble for it.” The song will officially drop on Oct. 15. “Easy on Me” begins with a brief piano solo, and then Adele shows off those famous pipes. “There ain’t no gold in this river that I’ve been washing my hands in forever,” she sings. “I know there is hope in these waters but I can’t bring myself to swim when I am drowning in this silence. Baby, let me in.” Elsewhere in the Instagram Live, a fan asked Adele what the album would be about. “Divorce, babe, divorce,” the Grammy winner replied. She added, “Writing my music has been really therapeutic, for sure.”

Ryan Gosling is giving a glimpse into what quarantine life was like in his home during a rare interview with GQ. “Our kids are young, so it was a tough time for them to be separated from other kids and not being able to see family and whatnot,” Ryan said of daughters Esmeralda, 7, and Amada, 5, whom he shares with Eva Mendes. The actor said he and Eva did their best to entertain the children. “I think Eva and I did more acting in quarantine than we have in our whole careers,” the “La La Land” star joked.
Dumping on Trump
George Clooney has some harsh words when discussing America, saying the country reminds him of a “battered child” after “knucklehead” Donald Trump’s four years in the White House. The actor, who is a democrat, went on to argue that Trump “can’t stand” his own supporters, but he’s good at faking it. He also didn’t put too much weight into President Joe Biden’s low approval numbers. “I mean, you can’t – it’s like taking a battered child and thinking everything’s going to be ok on his first day in school. There’s a lot of things that have to be repaired, there’s a lot of healing that has to happen and it’s going to take time,” he said. “Poll numbers come up and go down, I would expect them to go back up again. Donald Trump’s numbers went up and down.” George acknowledged that Trump will be a political factor for years to come. “It’s so funny because he was just this knucklehead, I knew him before he was a president. He was just a guy who was chasing girls. Every time you went out, he’d come over and be like: ‘What’s the name of that girl?’ That’s all he was,” George said. “And the idea that there’s this whole group of people that, you know, that they think he’s the champion of which, he certainly can’t stand in real life. He’s gonna play this out for a while and we’ll see where we go with it as a country. My hope is that we have a little better sense than to do that again, my hope.”
There are very few acting awards Charlize Theron hasn’t won over the course of her career, but getting the approval from her kids is better than anything. In speaking to The Mirror, the Oscar winner said her daughters Jackson, 9, and August, 6, were “quietly pretty chuffed” over their role as Morticia in “The Addams Family 2.” “As a mom who, like all mothers, wants their kids to think she’s cool, it’s a feeling no Oscar can replace,” she said. Charlize again referenced her kids in speaking about the Addams family. “We need to find kindness and understanding for others who might not look or talk like us. To be a part of something like this and know families will see it really resonates with me,” she said, adding that she’s “always made sure [her children] know exactly who we were as a family” and what their values are. “Kindness and treating others in the way you want to be treated is how to go through life,” she maintained.
Phoebe Dynevor reveals that she now has full-fledged anxiety, and it came with the rise of stardom from her role in “Bridgerton.” The actress’ mental issues stem from a fear of letting people down. “I don’t think anyone can handle that, the fear of failure. I worry about everything, and it is not easy to get through” she told Harper’s Bazaar. The 26-year-old believes being in the spotlight for an extended period of time can have lasting affects. “My stomach is in knots. I’m afraid of failing, disappointing someone, or going against my own beliefs. You can see how being in the spotlight affects your mental health,” she said. Phoebe has her ways of coping, including meditation, therapy and walks. “There are things I do to ground myself because it’s quite hectic at the moment,” she said.

Alex Rodriguez is getting a kick out of his relationship status. During a broadcast of the American League Division Series, the Fox Sports panel was discussing several Tampa Bay Rays players eating popcorn in the dugout during the game. Video soon showed Alex at the 2011 Super Bowl being fed popcorn from then-girlfriend Cameron Diaz. “It’s not the first time people have eaten popcorn in the middle of the game,” Kevin Burkhardt quipped. A-Rod laughed and noted, “KB, that’s maybe why I’m single.” Alex’s romance roster has included a slew of famous women, as he’s been linked to Madonna, Kate Hudson, Bethenny Frankel, WWE star Torrie Wilson and Jennifer Lopez.
