MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace shares weight loss tips

MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace, 56, is convinced that his co-host John Torode, 55, is competing in this year’s series of The Masked Singer UK. Gregg shared his suspicions after many viewers and The Masked Singer judges, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora, and Jonathan Ross, spotted clues pointing towards a celebrity chef on the ITV show.

The television personality spoke out and insisted John is “definitely” one of the stars taking part in the programme in an exclusive interview with

Gregg explained he wouldn’t be surprised if John was behind one of the mysterious masks as he “hasn’t seen him in weeks” and he can often be found practicing his vocals behind-the-scenes on MasterChef.

The presenter divulged: “It’s definitely John Torode, definitely John Torode.

“During MasterChef, he was always practicing his singing and I haven’t seen him for weeks.

“So it’s definitely John Torode!” He exclaimed.

When quizzed on which Masked Singer he thinks the Australian culinary expert could be, Gregg teased: “Yes – it’s that one, with the whiskers, the one with the mask on!

“It’s definitely him, he was singing while we were filming, he was practicing all the time.

“And I haven’t seen him for weeks, so definitely!”

John was initially presumed to be the singing voice behind Bush Baby on the show due to hints pointing towards cooking and Bush Baby having a strong Australian accent.

However, Bush Baby’s adorable costume was removed last weekend and he was revealed to be actor and comedian John Thompson.

The revelation came after the panel chose to save Dragon when they were both placed in the bottom two.

Five of the contestants have been eliminated so far.

Other contestants who have been unmasked include actress Martin McCutcheon as Swan and singer Mel B as Seahorse.

The first to be eliminated from the programme this year was singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor as Alien.

This evening’s show will include a double elimination, in which John’s secret could be rumbled if Gregg’s suspicions are correct.

Other predictions from fans and the panel are hinting towards singer Gabrielle being the real identity of Harlequin.

Meanwhile, more guesses include comedian Lenny Henry for Blob, singer Morten Harket for Viking and JLS star Aston Merrygold for Robin.

Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton is one of the most popular answers for Badger and everyone is convinced stage and screen legend Sheridan Smith is behind Sausage.

For Dragon, the top guess so far has been Australian drag queen Courtney Act.
