George Clooney loves a dish of pasta.
The 58-year-old star and wife Amal Clooney arrived at Rome restaurant Antica Pesa following the actor’s Italian premiere of his new Hulu series, “Catch-22,” at Cinema Moderno on Monday, we’re told. The Clooneys were joined by the cast and crew of the highly anticipated series, including Christopher Abbot, Kyle Chandler, Harrison Osterfield and Jon Rudinitsky.
The president of Paramount, which produced the series, also joined the cast of “Catch-22,” which is based on Joseph Heller’s famed novel.
We’re told the group, who was “dressed elegantly,” enjoyed Chef Simone Panella’s tuna tartare, spaghetti cacio e pepe, swordfish, and a taste of tiramisu.
“[George] particularly enjoyed the cacio e pepe,” the insider said. “He said it was the best meal of the trip.”
George, who lives in Lake Como, Italy, was also overheard practicing his Italian throughout the evening.
George is a known fan of Antica Pesa, as he was spotted dining there last summer while filming in Rome.
“Catch-22” premieres on Hulu on May 17.
