EastEnders’ original Lauren Branning unrecognisable as she poses for racy snaps

EastEnders' original Lauren Branning looks worlds away from days in Albert Square.

Madeline Duggan joined the soap in 2006 as Max Branning's daughter.

It was Madeline who had played the video of Max smooching daughter-in-law Stacey Slater in the iconic Christmas Day episode.

But since leaving Walford, Lauren has becoming something of a social media queen.

The ex soap star regularly posts racy snaps to her Instagram page, which boasts over 16,000 followers.

Madeline appeared to go topless on a recent holiday as she posed for a selfie by the pool.

In one of her more recent photos, Madeline worked a fierce pout as she relaxed in her dressing gown and a revealing black slip.

After four years on EastEnders, Madeline left the soap in 2010 and went on to enjoy acting roles in Dani's House and Rule's of Love.

She also bagged a role in BBC One's long-running drama series Silent Witness in 2012.

Despite moving on, Madeline has remained in touch with at least one of her former co-stars.

She posted a picture of her and Tomas Law, who played her on screen boyfriend Peter Beale, when they caught up in Los Angeles.

Three months after Madeline left EastEnders, the role of Lauren Branning was recast with Jacqueline Jossa stepping in.

Jacqueline, 27, appeared in the soap from 2010 until 2018 when her character was axed from the show along with onscreen sister Abi, played by Lorna Fitzgerald.

In a recent YouTube video, Jacqueline spoke candidly about calls for her to return to the soap.

"This is the most asked question I've ever received in my life! It's all I get asked when I'm out on the street or on Instagram," she said.

"But I don't know. It's not me who would say I'd never go back. I loved it there. I really enjoyed my time at EastEnders .

"It would have to be for the right reasons and it would have to make sense story-wise. Why would Lauren be going back?" asked Jacqueline.

SJake Wood, who plays her onscreen dad, has given Jacq's return his approval saying he'd be very happy to work with her again.

"I would love her to return and always thought she would," he told Digital Spy.
