Britney Spears Says Shes Praying over Her Conservatorship Hearing

Britney Spears is feeling hopeful ahead of her next conservatorship hearing.

The pop star shared her thoughts on the upcoming week in a candid Instagram post yesterday that featured artwork from the Austrian painter Hans Zatzka. She seemed to be referencing her court hearing Friday, when a California judge may decide to end her 13-year conservatorship.

“This week is gonna be very interesting for me 🤭 !!! I haven’t prayed for something more in my life 🙏🏼 !!!” she wrote.

The “Stronger” singer had a major win in her fight to regain her personal rights in late September, when her father, Jamie Spears, was suspended as her conservator. Jamie also filed a court petition to terminate the conservatorship that month in a move that Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, called a “massive legal victory.”

In her post yesterday, the singer also addressed some of her past Instagram posts in which she has expressed frustration toward her family members and other people involved in the legal arrangement.

“I know I’ve said some things on my Insta out of anger and I’m sorry but I’m only human … and I believe you’d feel the same way if you were me 🤷🏼‍♀️ !!! Anyway it’s a new day ☀️ and I can’t say I’m never going to complain again … cuz who knows 💁🏼‍♀️ !!!” she shared, before concluding the post, “God bless you all and have a great day 🤍 !!!”

The “Baby One More Time” singer has specifically called out her father, Jamie Spears; mother, Lynne Spears; and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, in several posts since she first spoke publicly about her problems with the conservatorship last summer. She also called out fake supporters in general in a post last July.

On a more positive note, the singer shared that she is trying to “find more joy” amid the recent changes in her life. She revealed last month that she already has a Christmas tree up in her home.

“I’m celebrating Christmas 🎄 way early this year … because why not ???!!!” she shared. “I believe any reason to find more joy in life is a good idea … and it’s no secret that I’ve been through it in the past … so I might have to do things a little differently from now on !!!”
